The specialist field test

What it measures
It is the only test that asks about your field: law, ICT, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or whatever the notice sets. You sit it in your language 2, and it usually carries the highest pass mark in the process.

What the questions look like
Professional-level multiple choice

Questions from one professional to another, with no teaching detours: a case, four or five options and only one defensible. The vocabulary of the field is taken as known.
The scope is not "the subject": it is the syllabus the notice publishes, which narrows things far more than you would expect.
Where people lose it
- Studying the field in the abstract. The notice says what is in; anything not on that list is not asked.
- Underestimating the pass mark. In specialist competitions it is usually the highest in the process: scraping through here is not enough.
- Preparing in your own language and sitting it in language 2. Technical vocabulary in another language is paid for in minutes.
- Trusting an old edition. In fast-moving fields — data protection, AI, cybersecurity — the framework changes between notices.
How you practise here
Here you sit it with the questions of the field you pick, its minutes and the EPSO interface. Only fields with a published exam are sold; the rest show as coming soon, not as available.
